Walking into a new gym can feel overwhelming—but at Mike’s Fitness JP, we’ve designed our space and community to be welcoming from the moment you walk through the door. Whether it’s your first time in a gym or you’re getting back into a fitness routine, here’s what you can expect on your first visit.

A Warm Welcome (Without the Sales Pitch)

Unlike big box gyms, we don’t lock you into contracts or hit you with hidden fees. All of our memberships are no-contract and no start-up fee, so you can focus on what matters: your health and progress.

Our friendly front desk team will greet you, help you check in, and show you around the space. And if you’re not sure where to begin, we always recommend starting with our FREE 1-hour fitness assessment. It’s the perfect way to meet one of our certified personal trainers, learn how to use the equipment safely, and get a tailored plan for your goals.

A Space That Works for You

Our facility spans over 15,000 square feet, filled with top-tier equipment, spacious training zones, and plenty of room to move without feeling crowded. You’ll find everything from free weights to machines to cardio equipment—whether you’re in for a full-body session or a quick pump.

And you won’t have to worry about navigating city parking or long commutes. We’re located just three minutes from the MBTA Orange Line Stony Brook stop and offer plenty of free parking for members who drive.

Certified Trainers Without the Pressure

If you’re interested in support beyond your membership, we offer multiple personal training options. You can check out our popular 12-week transformation program or go with a more flexible 12-session package for $660. Not ready to commit to that yet? No problem—your free fitness assessment is a great first step.

All of our trainers are certified and experienced, ready to meet you where you are and help you move forward safely and confidently.

When starting something new, it’s easy to think you need to go all-in to see results. But the real progress comes from showing up regularly and building a routine that fits your life.
